The End

There once lived a Honey Badger who was as fearless as can be. Tough, resilent, and patient he worked to overcome any challenge that stood his way.

From the busiet beehives to the deepest of burrows, there wasn't a single holve or crevice he would leave untouched in search of food.

"He whom many fear, has himself many to fear"

-Publilius Syrus

But one day, the badger chanced upon his old nemesis.....the Snake.

From the biggest lions to the smallest of rodents, everyone feared the snake.

Even the badger himself was wary of the snake's sharp fangs and posionous venom. All of which could spell the end for him if he got too close.

"Mmm...., honey, this looks tasty!

The Snake looked at the Honey Badger and asked him, "Are you not scared of me?"

The Honey Badger hesitated. He didn't want to back down, but even he knew a challenge from the Snake was possibly a deadly one.

Gathering all of strength he stated, "Snake, I'm not scared of you, not one bit!"

A crowd began to gather. "Look everyone, Honey Badger and the Snake are going to battle."

Honey Badger knew that if he could prove himself against the Snake in front of everyone, that he could free all the animals from the Snake's fear bullying.

But in order to do that, he had to overcome his own fear.

The Snake sensing his this, said, "How about this badger, if you can get past this line in the grass without getting bit, than I will let you pass. If not, then you must submit to my every whim.

Not being one to ever back down from a challenge, Honey Badger agreed.

Honey Badger took his time before making a quick and gallant lunge at the line. Everyone erupted in cheers, but the sneaky Snake, not being one to be upended, hissed loudly and snuck in a sharp bite.

The Snake smiled, expecting Honey Badger to crumple to the ground. Instead he simply dusted himself and licked his bite.

The Snake surprised by the sight, asked, "How?!" The Honey Badger showed off his rough, hardened skin filled with various stings and bites from all the times he searched from food.

Then he told the Snake, "Remember, you survive off fear, but I survive from toughness and strength." With that the Snake was sent on his way, losing the fear he once commanded over all the animals, to a Honey Badger who commanded respect.
